This silky formula of Vitamin C is encapsulated to ensure maximum stability and potency and it's supercharged with an effective boosting dose of Vitamin E. This power-packed antioxidant duo uses amazing properties to actively fight collagen breakdown and increases its production. This action literally delays the formation of lines and wrinkles while the vitamin C softens the appearance of existing ones. While many anti-aging products actually thin the skin and strip off layers to achieve a more youthful effect, C Source actually strengthens skin and reduces irritation, rediness and sensitivity. Your skin appears more softened, unlined and even-toned with a radiant glow. Thirty capsules per bottle, a one month supply for face and neck areas.
Vitamin C (Abscorbic Acid) – Formula contains 12% Vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant that supports collagen synthesis and helps firm the skin. Helps prevent damage caused by the sun. Also helps to even skin tone and reduces redness and sensitivity.
What exactly is topical Vitamin C good for?
vSun Protection – Studies have shown that Vitamin C helps protect the skin from both UVA and UVB light. It doesn’t absorb the rays, so a sunscreen is still necessary – but it should neutralize the damaging free radicals produced when the harmful rays interact with the skin.
vCollagen Booster – Some scientists believe that collagen is boosted by Vitamin C to repair itself, thereby increasing skin firmness and helping to smooth out fine wrinkles.
vSpot Guard – Vitamin C has been reported to inhibit the production of melanin which in turn evens out skin tone.
vHealer – Certain doctors encourage the use of Vitamin C has an anti-inflammatory agent. They believe that topical treatment speeds up the skin’s healing process, reducing the redness and inflammation associated with exposure, adult acne and rosacea. Interestingly enough, dermatologists and plastic surgeons frequently recommend ingestible Vitamin C after laser surgery to speed up recovery.
Vitamin C appears to be a miraculous products, is there a downside?
Yes, Vitamin C is extremely unstable. It is rendered ineffective by exposure to light and air. That is why C-Source is encapsulated in a gel capsule. This encapsulation process insures that your Vitamin C is as effective on day 30 as it is the day you open the jar. Very few Vitamin C products can make this claim
Why can’t we just pop a pill?
Our bodies don’t make Vitamin C so we have to get it from outside sources such as food or supplements. No matter how much Vitamin C you ingest there is no guarantee that enough will directly affect the skin. Applied topically, it can be directed where it is needed.
I’ve seen different names for Vitamin C on ingredient labels. Why is that?
Although there are many forms and derivatives of Vitamin C, most experts claim that Ascorbic Acid, used in C-Source, is the only form of Vitamin C that can actually be utilized by the skin.
Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E, 4%) – Vitamin E protects the linoleic fatty acids from oxidation making them active. Enhances elasticity of the connective tissue and is important for collagen metabolism and increases the skin’s ability to hold moisture. An antioxidant for premature aging; it develops a biochemical effect against free radicals. Has moisture-retention properties and smoothes the skin’s surface.
Orange Blossom Oil – Used to scent the formula.
Apply in the AM onto clean dry skin. Cut or twist the tail of the capsule and apply one capsule daily to face, neck and décolletage, immediately after cleansing and toning, avoiding the eyelids. Massage onto skin and let soak in. Use any excess on the back of hands. Follow with SPF Moisturizer or treatment cream.
C Source can also be used to give skin an extra antioxidant boost, by adding the contents of these capsules to your specialty treatment or moisturizer by mixing them together in the palm of your hand and then applying onto face & neck using upward and outward motions.
